DO Exclusive: Chelsea signs centre-back Harto with 40 million euros in the second transfer, signing until 2032

Hupu July 31st News TheAthleticUK ace reporter David Ornstein exclusively, Chelsea and Ajax reached an agreement to sign Jorell Harto. Harto's transfer fee exceeds 40 million euros and comes with a second transfer clause, but it needs to be approved by the Ajax Supervisory Board.

The 19-year-old Dutch international has agreed to a seven-year contract and will go to Ajax for a medical examination after the contract is approved.

Chelsea is close to completing Harto's transfer, but personal terms are in place, according to TheAthletic on Monday.

Hato started his career in Sparta Rotterdam, from the Ajax youth training system and has made 111 appearances for the Ajax first team so far.

He has served as captain of Ajax, playing as left-back and central defender, and will be one of the defensive options for head coach Maresca along with Mark Cucurella, Marlow Gusto, Levi Korwell, Benoit Badiashill, Trevo Chaloba and Wesley Fofana.

Hato has played for the Dutch national team six times and has been a regular visitor to the youth team before.

Chelsea spent a busy summer, with Liam Delapp, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens joining one after another, and Estewan William, Dario Essugo, Mamadu Saar and Kendri Pas joining one after another, and they have all agreed to transfer to West London.
