Leipzig after the game: Apologize to the fans, 0-6 is too bad, absolutely not to collapse like this

Hupu, August 23, RB Leipzig head coach Oli Werner and captain David Raum were interviewed by Leipzig People's Daily after losing to Bayern Munich 0-6.

Werner (RB Leipzig head coach):

"From our perspective, this game was disappointing, and even a disastrous performance. We can only apologize to the fans who came from afar.

We failed to play a team spirit today. The entire game - except for the beginning of the second half - we failed to give our opponent a breather;

We were repeatedly suppressed. We should not have collapsed like that after falling behind 0-3 and losing 1-4. We still have a lot of work to do and we will take it seriously."

David Raum (R B Leipzig):

"We set a high goal for ourselves, but it turned out to be really beaten. Bayern played very fiercely and forced himself into madness.

We just performed poorly at some moments and it was too easy to concede. We missed important defense and didn't keep up, of course, in Munich, they were very efficient in offense, which was very difficult.

We adjusted a little during the break and it turned out not bad. The ball was blown away. Some factors were coming together there. Today we were in trouble. We needed to cheer up, which sounded the alarm for us."
