James talks about ligament sprain for the first time: he is expected to recover from four to six weeks, even if he wins G5, he will not be able to play in the future

May 9th News After the Lakers were eliminated by the Timberwolves 1-4, ESPN mentioned in its report that LeBron James suffered an MCL (medial collateral ligament) sprained when he collided with Timberwolves defender Donte Divinchenzo in the fourth quarter in Game 5.

In the recent episode of the Mind The Game podcast, James publicly talked about his injury experience for the first time.

James said: "The moment I collided with Divinchenzo, I knew something was wrong, and I felt it immediately. My knee seemed to be locked, so I lay on the ground for a while, just to see if my knees could loosen, but I knew then that this was a pain I had never felt before. When I returned to the defense and chased people, he hit me and my knee bent inward. The doctor told me that I would recover for about four to six weeks, and I have now entered the recovery period of four to six weeks."

"This is the 'benefit' of not playing in the playoffs. Although I certainly hope to continue playing, it is realistic to say that even if we win the fifth game, I may miss the sixth, seventh game, or even longer."
