Heat forwards: I have been self-improvement all summer, and injuries have affected my performance

Basketball

According to Sun Sentinel reporter Ira Winderman, Miami Heat's 21-year-old forward star Nikola Jovic revealed to him in an interview that he hopes to make a bigger breakthrough in ability this summer and play a more important role in the team next season.

When talking about my arrangements this summer, Jovic said: I have a full three months to do something, but I don't know what will happen in the end. I think this may be the first time I have been able to improve my abilities throughout the summer. Winderman believes that injuries have had a huge impact on Jokic. He was affected by a sprained left ankle before the start of the season. Jovic performed quite well during his recovery and became an important rotation player in the hands of head coach Eric Spoelstra. However, he suffered another right hand fracture in February this year and did not return until the playoffs. Jovic also talked about this and continued: I think my performance this season was very stable before my hand was injured. I found my place, I was able to stand up in the second team as a substitute and give some help to the team, however my injury really had a big impact on my performance.

In the NBA regular season this season, Jovic was affected by injury and played a total of 46 games in 82 games, averaging 25.1 minutes per game, averaging 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks, and 1.3 turnovers and 1.8 fouls. He shot 45.6%, three-point shooting percentage 37.1%, and free throw shooting percentage 82.8%. During the playoffs, Jovic averaged 18.8 minutes in these four games, with averaging 9.5 points, 4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 1.3 turnovers and 0.5 fouls. His shooting percentage was 37.1%, a three-point shooting percentage of 25%, and a free throw shooting percentage of 100%. However, in the playoff G4, Jovic's performance was eye-catching when the team suffered a 55-point defeat. During the 29 minutes and 15th minute playing time, he made 8 of 15 shots, 4 of 9 from the three-point line, and 4 of 4 free throws. He efficiently scored the highest score of 24 points, plus 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. He also had 2 turnovers and 1 foul, with a plus-negative value of -28.

Jovic's progress this season is actually quite obvious. His performance in the regular season is also worthy of recognition. His scoring ability, passing and supporting ability are fully reflected, but injuries have indeed affected his attendance rate and his development. Jovic is undoubtedly a young player with great potential, and he has shown many bright spots and traits. He is also one of the few players in the Heat team with high talent and high ceilings. I don’t know how much playing time Jovic can get in Spoelstra next season. Can he further improve his importance in the team while maintaining his health and become an indispensable key figure in the team?
