Telegraph: Manchester United and Newcastle interested in Forest midfielder Anderson, the player is expected to be priced at 100 million pounds

November 17 According to the British media "Daily Telegraph", Manchester United and Newcastle are interested in Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliott Anderson, and Forest's valuation of the player exceeds 100 million euros.

Elliot Anderson is expected to become the next England player worth over £100m as Nottingham Forest are ready to take a tough stance on his future, reports suggest. The midfielder will be highly sought after next summer, with Manchester United and Newcastle United being two clubs showing keen interest.

However, under any circumstances, Forest will not consider selling the English midfielder in the winter window. Forest signed Anderson from Newcastle in July 2024 for about £15 million, a deal that took advantage of the Premier League's strict profitability and sustainability rules: Newcastle were cornered at the time and had to sell their youth products to raise funds to avoid serious points deductions.

Anderson has since become one of England's most promising young players as part of the deal that saw goalkeeper Odysseus Vlachodemos move to Newcastle for a fee in excess of £20 million.

It is reported that there are no terms or additional provisions in the five-year contract signed by Anderson. Newcastle also have no buy-back or re-share clause, which was confirmed by Newcastle manager Eddie Howe on October 5.

Forest's valuation of Anderson will be determined by club owner Vangelis Marinakis, and it is expected that the club will demand an amount consistent with market value. With possible interest from a number of Champions League clubs, Anderson's price could exceed £100m on an installment basis.

Galish transferred from Aston Villa to Manchester City in August 2021 for a transfer fee of up to 100 million pounds, which set a transfer fee record in England. When Rice moved from West Ham to Arsenal, the total transfer fee after bonuses reached 105 million pounds.

Under Tuchel's coaching, Anderson has become a key player in the England national team's midfield before next year's World Cup. Tuchel admitted last week that the 23-year-old was now a complete midfielder after making his international debut in a qualifier against Andorra in September. Anderson made his sixth England appearance as a substitute in Sunday's 2-0 win over Albania.

Tuchel said: "Anderson is our key player at the moment. He is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, which is why he can join us and start for us. He deserves it all because he has been very good. But he must move on now, he is a very comprehensive and mobile midfielder, That's what he keeps showing to me. He's an elite player with the right attitude and great talent, and he's fulfilling his role in the best possible way, so we're very happy with him."

Anderson will return from international duty to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, as they face Liverpool away in the league this weekend.
