Hupu, October 20th: Glasgow Rangers officially announced that Danny Rohr has been appointed as the head coach of the men's first team.

Rohr previously coached Sheffield Wednesday and now joins Rangers. The two parties have signed a two-and-a-half-year contract.

Rohr has coaching experience in top European football clubs. His coaching career began at RB Leipzig, where he served as the assistant coach of Ralph Hasenhuttl, and followed him to join Southampton in 2018.

In 2019, he became the assistant coach of Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick and helped the team win the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League championships in his first season. The following year, Bayern successfully defended the Bundesliga title and won the European Super Cup, German Super Cup and Club World Cup.

Afterwards, Rohr and Flick coached the German national team to compete in the 2022 World Cup.

In October 2023, he served as the head coach for the first time, coaching the Sheffield Wednesday team in the English Championship. Sheffield Wednesday are bottom of the table without a win in their first 11 games. But Rohr led the team to successfully avoid relegation and finally ranked 12th in a difficult environment last season.

Rohr will take over as head coach at Ibrox Stadium. He is set to take over and his first game will be against SK Brann in the Europa League on Thursday.
