Recently, he accepted an interview with EFE, analyzing the ten months before he landed in the English league and the World Cup dream that haunts him.

He played alongside Messi at Inter Miami until Brighton paid 10 million euros for him. Since then, he has become an important part of the squad and is one of the stars of the Paraguay national team, which he will be participating in the upcoming World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

How do you feel after staying in the Premier League for ten months?

Personally, I feel great. To be honest, I'm adapting to everything the coach is asking of me. Gotta keep working hard and thinking about the rest of the season

A month ago you had your first career big four, how did it feel?

To be honest, I never imagined it, luckily I did it that day, and I'm very happy about it.

What do you think of the upcoming World Cup?

Now I feel that I am getting better and better. I am adapting to the team and the Premier League. We still have friendlies in November and I have to think about those games in order to be ready for the World Cup. There is always a need to stay humble and keep working hard, that is the most important thing.

Paraguay has not been able to qualify for the World Cup since 2010 and has not appeared in the World Cup for 16 years. How does the entire country view this opportunity?

This is a dream for us and for all Paraguayan people, because after a long wait we have finally achieved something unique that we know will make many people happy. We know what the national team means to all of us, luckily we did it and now we have to start preparing for the future.

For Paraguay, what kind of result in the World Cup is a worthwhile trip?

Bringing honor to our country is the goal. We know it will be a very difficult World Cup, but first and foremost we have to work hard and try our best to get Paraguay to the top.

What do you need to do between now and June next year to be at your best for the World Cup?

I have to give my best every week with my club. Seize every opportunity that is given to me and prepare myself mentally for the World Cup for whatever is to come.

How many times have you imagined yourself playing in the World Cup?

To be honest, I try not to think too much. When I chat with my friends, they will jokingly say to me: "Man, you are going to play in the World Cup!" This is a great pride, it is something I have dreamed of since I was a child, and I hope everything can come true in the best way.
