On November 6, Brazilian media UOL reported that Corinthians chairman asked Memphis Depay to move out of the luxury hotel suite.

According to Brazilian media UOL, Corinthians club president Osmar Stabile asked Dutch forward Depay to leave a luxury hotel in the center of Sao Paulo where he currently lives.

Stabile announced the decision at a meeting with the advisory board on October 29. Minutes of the meeting show that Stabile explained to Depay the reasons for needing to move out of the hotel and into a lower-cost house or apartment. According to the contract, Corinthians are required to pay Depay approximately R$250,000 per month for accommodation.

Although the club stated that the player himself took the initiative to move, as of now, Depay is still living in the hotel, and there is no sign that he will move out soon. Sources close to the player revealed that Depay is unlikely to leave the hotel, which offers round-the-clock amenities including room service, cleaning, butler service, laundry and concierge.
