Inter Milan officially announced that 44-year-old Romanian coach Kivo will serve as head coach, and the two sides will sign the contract until 2027. Kivo once coached in the Inter Milan echelon and took over Parma in February this year, leading the team to achieve the goal of relegation. Inter Milan previously announced that Simeone Inzaghi had left office, and then negotiated with Kivo and quickly finalized the agreement. During his time as a player, Zivo played for Inter Milan from 2007 to 2014 and was a hero of Inter Milan's triple championship.

Inter Milan wrote in its official announcement:

Inter Milan Football Club welcomes Christian Kivo to become the new head coach of the first team. The coach signed a contract with the Blue and Black Club until June 30, 2027.

Some people contain countless stories, some people can face all kinds of hardships, but each time they can start again with a stronger and more refreshed attitude. But these people found pillars and rely on them to build new experiences full of meaning. He has experienced great challenges during Christian Kivo's journey in his life that shapes him and connects him deeply with the blue and black. Starting from today, he started his third life in Inter Milan as the head coach of the first team of Inter Milan.

Kivu was born on October 26, 1980 in the Romanian city of Reshica. From the very beginning, he knew the importance of discipline and understood that only by relying on discipline can one make a world in the football world. He has been immersed in the football atmosphere since he was a child, following his father Mircha's role model and enthusiasm - Mircha was once a player and Christian's first coach in Reshica's youth team.

It was a long journey without any special treatment, and the deep feelings between him and his father played a key role, which allowed Kivo to learn the value of sacrifice and ambition. Christian was a forward at first, but was competent in the midfield when needed. He has excellent skills and made his debut in the first team at the age of 17. The venue is the stadium named after his father Mircha today. In 1998, he transferred to the University of Crayova, and was later spotted by a scout from Ajax and joined in July 1999.

At this time, Christian could already play as a full-back. In the Netherlands, his transformation was completely completed: in Ajax, he not only tempered his technical movements, but also trained his thinking. Ajax is like a football school, laying a solid foundation for a rising young man. In 2001, Kivo became the youngest captain in Ajax history, and this armband belongs to only a young man with a very charming personality.

In Amsterdam, Christian won a league title, a Dutch Cup title and a Dutch Super Cup title. After 142 games in four years, he came to Italy in 2003 to join Rome. He played in the capital for four seasons, won a Copa Italy, and then came a key turn: in 2007, he transferred to Inter Milan, and his life changed completely since then.

In the seven years of Kivo's playing for Inter Milan, there is one thing that best illustrates his relationship with the club and the fans. This story is more meaningful than honors, trophys, 169 appearances and 3 goals. On March 24, 2010, after 77 days of severe skull fracture against Chevo, Kivo returned to the field wearing a protective helmet. That day marked Christian's freshmanship, and just a few months ago, he even faced more than the end of his career.

When he used his head to the ball for the first time - even a light header - the blue and black fans of the audience gave thunderous applause, that emotion was hard to describe. From that moment on, he wore a helmet throughout his career and only took off when celebrating his victory. In the end, he won three Serie A titles, two Italian Cups, two Italian Super Cups, one Club World Cup and the 2009-10 Champions League championship.

As the pillar and captain of the Romanian national team, Kivo played 75 games for the national team and participated in the two European Cups in 2000 and 2008. In 2014, he ended his first journey at Inter Milan, officially hanging his boots and ending his career as a player. Then, Kivo began his new chapter in Inter Milan, starting his coaching journey in the club's youth training department since 2018.

Kifou's coaching career began in the U14 echelon, and he then coached the U17 echelon and the U18 echelon, and finally took over the youth team in the summer of 2021. This is a key and challenging position, perfect for an ambitious person like him. In his first season, he led the team to win the Italian Youth League championship, the 10th league championship in the history of Inter Milan youth team. After the 2023-24 season, he left Inter Milan again.

In February 2025, he ushered in the opportunity to coach the first team: Parma sent him an invitation, hoping that he would help the team achieve its relegation goal in the 2024-25 season. His mission was completed, and in 13 games, Parma scored 16 points and successfully retained his Serie A place.

Now, Christian Kivo returns to the Nerazzurri once again to embark on the third Inter Milan journey of his career: he will, as always, face new challenges guided by dedication, sacrifice and hard training.
