On May 27, a reporter from China Jilin.com learned from Yatai Club that the Jilin Provincial National Games team formed by Changchun Yatai U18 team has gathered in Dalian and began to prepare for the qualifying match of the U18 group of the 15th National Games, which will start on June 16.

In 2025, Changchun Yatai U18 team had a heavy responsibility and represented Jilin Province in the U18 Qualification Competition of the Men's Football Team of the 15th National Games. This team is composed of players from the age group of 2007-2008 trained by Yatai Youth Training. Last year, it represented Jilin Province to win the third place in the U18 men's football team in the first National Youth "Three Major Balls" Games.

The U18 Qualification Competition for the 15th National Games Men's Football Team will be held from June 16 to 30. The Jilin team and Hubei, Guizhou, Hebei, Xinjiang and Tianjin will be ranked in Group D of Hebei Division (Tangshan). The group stage adopts a single round-robin system (5 rounds in total), with the top two in the group and the third in the three groups with the best results. A total of 11 teams advanced to the final stage of the U18th Group of the 15th National Games.

According to the plan, the Yatai Youth Army will train in Dalian for 10 days under the leadership of head coach Yan Feng, and will return to Changchun Base Camp on June 5 to have an internal teaching match with the Yatai first team.
