Real Madrid is about to reach Trent Alexander-Arnold transfer deal

A report shows that Real Madrid is about to reach an agreement with Liverpool to sign right-back Trent Alexander Arnold in time at this summer's Club World Cup.

Alexander Arnold will leave Liverpool in a free transfer and is currently expected to join Liverpool after his contract expires on June 30, but Real Madrid hopes that their new players will become part of the Club World Cup squad this summer, which will begin on June 14 16 days ago.

To achieve this, Real Madrid will need to reach an agreement with Liverpool, who is not participating in the Club World Cup, to release Alexander Arnold during the interim transfer window in the first 10 days of the six months. According to ESPN, Liverpool demanded a €1 (£840,000) fee to be paid for Alexander Arnold after the Premier League season ended.

It is said that an agreement between the two sides is close to being reached, and Real Madrid is confident that Alexander Arnold will participate in the game with the upcoming new coach Xavi Alonso. However, Sky Sports News said Real Madrid has not yet made a formal offer to Liverpool after getting in touch with Liverpool last week to explore the early transfer of the England right-back.

Real Madrid plans to attach great importance to the Club World Cup. They dream of being the first winners of this new look contest, but are eager to get a prize worth up to €150m (£126.1m).

If they can't sign Alexander Arnold in advance, Real Madrid can still register for the right-back for the knockout stage if they qualify. The Club World Cup will have a second registration window after the group ends, when Alexander Arnold may join the roster after joining on July 1.
