May 23, The Daily Mail reported that former Manchester United youth training Brandon Williams was sentenced to 14 months in prison for dangerous driving, suspended for two years, and revoked his driver's license for three years.

Prisonal Judge Eric Lamb pointed out that the defendant was in a period of depression when he committed the crime and there was a strong personal commutation of sentence. But the judge criticized the player who once shone with Manchester United's youth training for being extremely stupid, saying that he had gained too much fame and fortune too early, and Williams admitted that he was speeding to show off to women in the same car at the time.

In March this year, 24-year-old Williams confessed to dangerous driving charges after crashing in an Audi A3 at nearly 100 miles per hour. It is accused that he "driving in a serpentine" on the A34 road in August 2023, hitting a Ford Fiesta before hitting a central isolation belt.

When witnesses suspected that he was driving, he was suspected of holding a balloon (i.e., suspected of inhaling laughter gas), Williams did not comment. At that time, female passengers in the same car were accused of filming the two of them throughout the journey.

Williams, who tested negative for alcohol on the spot, was still arrested for dangerous driving without third-party insurance. Senior Prosecutor of the Crown Prosecution Service Andrew Maden said: "Williams' driving level that day was far lower than the standard of a qualified driver. Witnesses described his repeated acceleration and sudden brakes, which obviously lost control of the vehicle. This dangerous driving with extreme speeding eventually led to an accident, and no one was seriously injured was a lucky draw."

Williams, who left Manchester United at the end of last season, recently admitted that although it is difficult to face football, he is still eager to make a comeback. The full-back, who was promoted to his debut by Solskjaer six years ago, played 51 games for Manchester United and was selected for the England U21 echelon.

During the loan period of Ipswich coached by McKenna, he terminated the contract early due to relatives and friends.

Williams previously said in an interview: "The social circle off the court has begun to lose control. I had to return to Manchester to deal with it, but the situation worsened and failed to return to the team."

"I will fall into a state of complete numbness. Although my family wants me to return to the football world, I can see that I have lost my enthusiasm. Watching football now makes me suffer. I long to return to the locker room atmosphere and miss the time I go out with the team and have dinner together. The American League, Europe and England have team invitations, but I want to start again when I focus 100%. At the age of 24, I can play overseas for three or four years."
