Official: Burnley signs 21-year-old goalkeeper Wes from Karlsruhe, contract until 2029

June 26th, local time on Wednesday, Burnley officially announced the signing of 21-year-old German goalkeeper Max Wes from the Bundesliga team Karlsruhe.

Burnley officially announced that Wes has joined the team from Karlsruhe and he signed a four-year contract with the transfer fee not being made public.

Wes joined Karlsruhe Youth Training in 2019, received a professional contract in 2022, and became the main goalkeeper of the first team in the 24/25 season. He made 37 appearances last season, conceded 57 goals and completed 10 clean sheets.

Regarding joining Burnley, Wes said: "I'm really excited to be here. It's an ambitious club and I feel very good and very positive when I communicate with the people here. The training ground is great, the quality of the lawn is excellent, and I can't wait to start pre-season training and meet all my teammates."
