Odegao: It is important to win Manchester United, even if you don’t win beautifully, you will continue to win against Leeds United

Before the first home game against Leeds United this season, Odegao reviewed his busy summer inside and outside the stadium - starting the Premier League journey with a victory, how new players integrate into the team, and the expectations of the "White Rose". "We achieved a very important victory last weekend - there is no doubt that the best thing about the day was the result! We won the game and showed resilience. It has never been easy to start the new season away, let alone a difficult venue like Old Trafford. They (Manchester United) have experienced many changes this summer and introduced many new players, so the morale in the team is high. This also makes the atmosphere on the scene particularly warm. They are all fighting spirit and want to start a strong start. So for us, it is of great significance to be able to score three points there.

"We achieved our goal, and we accomplished what we should do, which made a good start for the season. We knew we could have done better in many ways, but we saw the team's desire and determination again. Even if this victory was not 'beautiful', we still tried our best to win the game. And this kind of tenacity is also an indispensable and important quality for the team.

"For me personally, my physical and mental state are very good now. The long preseason gave me plenty of preparation time, and I have played a lot of preseasons, and the game condition has been adjusted to the right place, which feels great.

"This preseason went smoothly, but in fact the whole summer was very successful. The most important thing in the offseason is that I am getting married! This is obviously the heart of my holiday, and that day is really unforgettable. Some of my teammates - both from Arsenal and from Norway's national team, everyone is here, and of course, Helen (Eldgau's wife) and my family and friends, everyone gathered together, and the atmosphere was very good!

"After the end of last season, I played two games on behalf of the national team and won two key victories. The training camp was very smooth. We defeated Italy and Estonia one after another. We are in a good situation. This is also the first time we have achieved such an excellent start in the World Cup. So this is also a very pleasant experience in the summer. After that, I immediately returned to the team and participated in two training camps with Arsenal: first in Spain, then to Singapore and Hong Kong, China. It is really a great experience to be able to interact with so many fans in Asia.

"We also welcomed 6 new teammates this summer, and going out to train together like this has helped everyone quickly integrate. I had been teammates at Real Sociedad and Suvimenti before, and I had known each other for a long time. As for Yorkress and Norgao, I have fought with them before, and I think that as both Scandinavians, we are born with a sense of intimacy and it is very natural to get along with each other.

"Of course, I have played with them a few times before, so the only person I don't know much about is Moskara. But even though he didn't join for a long time, he quickly adapted to the team like other new players, and they are all very good people.

"The key now is to get a good result against Leeds United today. I know they will go all out, Leeds United is a big club and has missed two seasons in the Premier League. In Norway, Leeds United is particularly popular, especially my dad's generation, so I know a lot about their history and the team.

"But today, we are going to focus on ourselves. Back at Emirates Stadium, we are going to make sure to continue a good start and win another victory."
