Liverpool is reportedly expected to sign Alexander Isack from Newcastle with record transfer fees

Liverpool is expected to sign striker Alexander Isaac from Newcastle with record transfer fees. According to the Daily Telegraph, the official quote of the Red Army will be announced within 24 hours.

It is reported that since his transfer from Real Sociedad to St James Park for £63 million in August 2022, Isaac has been one of the best forwards in world football. He made 109 appearances for the Magpie, scored 62 goals and sent 11 assists.

The 25-year-old has helped Newcastle advance to the Champions League (2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons). He also scored in the League Cup final against Liverpool in 2024-25, helping the team win 2-1, breaking the 70-year domestic trophy drought.

After the summer transfer window, Arn Slott's team is interested in signing Isaac. Despite signing French striker Hugo Ekitic from Frankfurt for £69m plus £10m transfer fee, they still hope to bring the Swedish striker to Anfield.

Isaac has been training alone and publicly accused the club of breaking his promise to allow him to leave. The remarks have strained his relationship with the Magpies over the past month, with head coach Eddie Howe removing him from the team.

Behind the scenes, Newcastle has been looking for a replacement for their signature attacker and seems to have found a solution after hitting multiple geniuses. They are expected to complete a deal to sign German striker Nick Watmad from Stuttgart in the coming days, with a reported transfer fee of £69.2 million.

Signing the 23-year-old will clear the way for Isaac to join Liverpool, and Liverpool is preparing a £130 million offer. Additional terms and bonuses may further increase the total transfer fee that has set a record in the UK.
