Exclusive to the Sun: Manchester United may engage in friendly matches this season to increase revenue; by the way, team building

Hupu September 12th, according to an exclusive report by Sun Manchester reporter Katherine Walsh, Manchester United has no European battle mission this season and may use the overseas friendly matches in the midweek to fill the club's financial vacancy.

The Red Devils lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final in May and ended up at No. 15 in the Premier League, missing out on £100 million in revenue.

Manchester United failed to advance to the European game and was out of the League Cup in a surprise attack at Grimsby, which means that the team only has one game before Christmas - hosting West Ham United at home on December 3.

But The Sun exclusively revealed that Ruben Amorin's team may make the most of the extra preparation time to play a series of mid-season friendly matches with many top European teams.

Because Manchester United may have eight days apart from the two Premier League matches outside of three international match days in the fall, playing some semi-competitive friendly matches can give the team a chance to prepare for higher quality matches.

They may face AC Milan, RB Leipzig, Lazio and Sevilla - all of which failed to qualify for European competition this season.

For example, Manchester United can earn extra income from the match against AC Milan in the UAE, while other so-called "top six" clubs compete in the Champions League.

Although the money is only a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of pounds of income brought by the Champions League qualifiers, the income brought by the friendly match is enough to make up for some of their losses due to their losses.

Sir Jim Ratcliff and his team generated about £7.8 million in revenue during the Asian preseason, and they went to the United States a month later to almost tie that number.

If United share revenue with AC Milan, they are likely to get about half of it, or get a bigger share in any match against Leipzig or Lazio, then they are likely to get half of it.

Meanwhile, The Sun recently revealed that Amorin is considering taking the players on a series of friendship trips during their mid-season friendly matches.

The Portuguese coach believes that traveling to the Algarve and even the Middle East can give players more time to accompany each other and enhance their connections.
