05, May 22 Liverpool announced that it will build a new Heisel monument at Anfield Stadium to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the disaster.

This new monument, called "Eternal Band", will replace the old memorial plaque currently located on the wall of Sir Dalglish stands and move to a more conspicuous and mourning position on the stadium. The new site selection is being determined in consultation with key stakeholders, and specific details will be announced in a timely manner. The

monument design takes two intertwined scarves as the core image, symbolizing the spirit of unity between the two clubs through gentle entanglement, and the deep bonds formed by shared mourning and mutual respect after the tragedy. The monument is made of special materials. In addition to engraving touching inscriptions, the names of 39 fans who died on Heisel Stadium on May 29, 1985 will be fully presented. The construction of the "Eternal Band" originated from the collective appeal of Red Army fans to renew the memorial facilities and create a more eye-catching and accessible memorial space in Anfield. After evaluating the location of the existing monument, the club decided to pay tribute to the deceased with a brand new design and share the plan with Juventus Club and the families of the victims.

On the occasion of this 40th anniversary, Liverpool CEO Hogan and club ambassador Ian Rush will go to Turin to attend the unveiling ceremony of the Juventus New Heisel Monument "Verso Altrove". Out of respect for the opening ceremony of Turin on May 29, the official unveiling of the "Eternal Bond" will be extended to later this summer.

Club will announce the specific arrangements for the unveiling ceremony of Anfield at appropriate times.
