Drapp may be injured for more than 6-8 weeks; Chelsea considers Portuguese striker Hard and recalls Jiwu

Hupu, August 31, According to the Telegraph, Chelsea is worried that Drapp will be absent for longer than originally thought. Stamford Bridge's senior executives have made preparations behind the scenes, including signing new players or recalling Spanish striker Jiwu, who has been loaned to Sunderland by the club.

It is reported that Chelsea coach Maresca predicts that Drapp will be absent for six to eight weeks, but the striker needs to perform another injury scan within the next 48 hours, which may leave him absent for a longer period of time, according to the Telegraph.

In addition to canceling Jackson's transfer to Bayern Munich, Chelsea is also considering signing a new striker, with Portuguese sports forward Harder being one of the players they have considered. Another option might be to try to cancel the deal for Spanish striker Giu on loan to Sunderland and recall him to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will play six games between the next two international match days, but the current view is that Drapp is missing more than these games.

Chelsea received special permission from the Premier League to take Drapp directly to the hospital when Saturday's match against Fulham is still in progress so they can act as soon as possible to plan for his absence before the transfer window closed at 7pm on Monday.

The Telegraph said that Chelsea responded to Drapp's injury and informed Bayern Munich that Jackson's loan transfer was cancelled, but the striker did not want to return to the club and stayed in Germany. The

clubs are looking at their options, which leads the Blues to consider possible permanent deals. It is understood that Jiwu's loan to Sunderland did not immediately interrupt the clause, which means that Chelsea must reach an agreement with Sunderland.
