Bundesliga legend: Werz has a poor start, and the audience won t have to be patient for too long

Hupu September 4th, former Bundesliga professional player Marek Minthal believes that German national team player Florian Werz still has a lot of room for improvement after appearing in the Liverpool jersey at the beginning.

"The last time I saw Wiltz was in Liverpool's 3-2 win over Newcastle, and he was very negative at the time. That wasn't his style, but it was part of his growth," the Bundesliga legend told "ran.de".

However, according to Minthal, Wilz cannot expect the team to have too much patience with him. Liverpool reportedly paid up to 150 million euros to his former club Leverkusen for the transfer of Wilz.

"Liverpool is different from Leverkusen. Despite this, seeing so much money, everyone hopes that these professional players can immediately put in their work and play a role," said the 48-year-old former player. "The audience won't give the newly signed players enough time to gain a foothold in England."

Wilz's poor performance against Newcastle also attracted criticism from the British media. For example, the Express commented on the performance of the former Leverkusen player: "I was just a passerby before he was replaced in the second half."

What's even more bitter is that in the top game of last weekend's 1-0 victory over Arsenal, Werz suffered cramps in the final stage and had to be replaced again.
