Arsenal coach Arteta serves as director of performance of sports brands

Arsenal coach Arteta will also serve as the "expression director" of American sports brand Under Armour, opening a new chapter in his career.

According to the official news released by Under Armour, the 43-year-old Spanish coach will help the brand expand its influence in the global football field with his "top leadership thinking, keen tactical insight and unremitting pursuit of improving competitive performance."

In this new role, Arteta will deeply participate in the research and development design of Under Armour's football products, talent selection and strategic direction formulation. He will also personally guide the young players signed by the brand, encouraging them to have the courage to break through and show their personality. In addition, Arteta will also promote Under Armour to carry out more community sports projects in the London area to strengthen the brand’s connection with local fans.

Despite his new position, Arteta stressed that his priority is to lead Arsenal to success. In the past summer window, Arsenal spent 208 million pounds to introduce many new players, and the outside world's expectations for the team to win the championship reached a new high. After all, the Gunners have been second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons and have not scored any trophy since winning the 2020 FA Cup. The schedule of the new season is even more severe: Arsenal will face strong opponents such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in the first six rounds.
