Annual salary of 3.5 million& first in the group to enter the top 16 of the Club World Cup! TA: Dortmund is expected to renew his contract with coach Kovac

June 27, TA reported that Dortmund is expected to continue his appointment with head coach Kovac in the Club World Cup.

Kovac signed a short-term contract when he replaced Shahin in February this year, valid until the end of the season. However, Dortmund performed well at the end of the season and is expected to receive a renewal reward.

Official negotiations on Kovac's new contract will begin after the end of the Club Dortmund Cup. Dortmund advanced to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup as the first in the group and will next play against Mexican team Monterrey.

Kovac led Dortmund to fourth place from the middle of the league and successfully returned to the Champions League. He won seven of his last eight games.

Previously, Kovac coached Bundesliga clubs such as Bayern, Wolfsburg and Frankfurt, as well as the national teams of Ligue 1, Monaco and Croatia.

Dotter ranked 11th in the Bundesliga when Kovac took over in February, with a bleak season prospect. Four months later, under Kovac's leadership, Dortmund achieved a record of seven wins and one draw, finally ending the season with an unbeaten record and successfully returning to the Champions League.

Previously reported that Kovac's annual salary in Dortmund is 3.5 million euros.
