An invitation to Ronaldo: Only 1 month signed!

Football

According to French media FootMercato, Mexican club Monterrey - currently owns former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos - is planning to sign Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (C Ronaldo), but the contract is limited to just one month.

The Mexican club hopes to introduce Ronaldo during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup held from mid-June to July. The event will be held in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025. A total of 32 teams participated. It is the first event after the restructuring and the scale is unprecedented.

It is reported that Ramos will play a key role in the negotiations and will personally persuade his old teammates to join. Ronaldo, who is already 40 years old, is also interested in participating in this globally renowned event, so he may seriously consider this "short-term contract".

Royce's future is still unclear

At present, the contract between Ronaldo and Saudi club Riyadh will expire in June 2025, and the two sides have not reached an agreement on renewal. This also made his next stop the focus of attention from the outside world.

According to Spanish newspaper Le Marca, Saudi giant Riyadh Crescent is the team most likely to sign Ronaldo. If he succeeds, he is expected to play against his old club Real Madrid in the Club World Cup, and performs an exciting reunion moment.

Other possible options: ME, Miami International, or return to Portugal?

In addition to the proposals from Saudi Arabia and Mexico, there are several potential destinations emerging:

Major League Baseball (MLS): The Seattle Gulfers have been qualified for the Club World Cup, and Los Angeles FC is also fighting for the last place. If Ronaldo chooses to join Los Angeles FC, then the "Merro Ronaldo showdown" with Messi may be staged again.

What is even more shocking is that Ronaldo may even become Messi's teammate. If he joins Miami International, the two will play side by side on the same team. This idea was once hinted by FIFA President Infantino in an online interview.

In addition, there is a possibility of being full of emotion: return to the parent team Portuguese sports. As the team's main striker Victor Zhekelais is about to transfer to the Premier League, the club is expected to obtain funds through the deal to welcome the former talented boy "return home".
