The Grizzlies black and white bears were two NBA All-Star Zach Randolph, with a peak average of 20+12!

Basketball

Zach Randolph is a 6-foot-9-inch power forward/center who weighs 250 pounds. Since being selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 19th pick in 2001, he has gone through multiple teams and finally found his own home in the Memphis Grizzlies. In his 13-season career, he averaged 16.6 points and 9.1 rebounds, was selected into the All-Star twice, and became the first player in the history of the Grizzlies to retire the No. 50 jersey in 2021. This inside player, who was controversial due to off-court conflicts and the label of "Jail Blazer", has become the mainstay of the "Grit & Grind" era with tenacious defense and rich low-post offensive skills, bringing dignity and glory to the Grizzlies.

Zach Randolph was born in Marion, Indiana, on July 16, 1981. He has shown his rebounding and low-post offensive talent during high school. After playing for Michigan State for one season, he entered the 2001 NBA Draft with 10.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and was selected by the Trail Blazers with the 19th overall pick. In the first six years in Portland, he was caught in the "Jail Blazer" storm due to disputes with his teammates and many off-court events, and the team was named, and Randolph was once regarded as an untactical bad boy. After moving to the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Clippers at the end of 2007, Randolph was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in July 2009, and Randolph ushered in a turning point in his career. In the Grizzlies, he no longer fights alone, but instead plays a tough defense and strong inside style with Mark Gasol Jr., Mike Conley, and Tony Allen, completely unleashing his low-post skills and offensive deterrence. After joining the Grizzlies, Randolph was quickly selected as the All-Star in 2010 and 2013, and won the All-Star in 2011 with an average of 21.7 points per game. The team's record has been rising steadily and has reached the playoffs for six consecutive years. In the 2011-12 season, he averaged 21.7 points per game, ranking first in the team, and led the team to rank sixth in the Western Conference with 41 wins. Although he lost to the Pistons in the first round, the league saw the Grizzlies' "hardness".

He scored a total of 18,578 points and 10,208 rebounds in his career, both of which ranked among the forefront of NBA history and became one of the few "20+10" inside players in the league.

Randolph officially announced his retirement in December 2019. At a ceremony held at Memphis home court FedExForum on December 11, 2021, his No. 50 jersey was hung high by the Grizzlies on the dome of the venue, marking him as the first Grizzlies player to have this honor. As a symbol of the "Grit & Grind" era, Randolph changed a city's belief in basketball with tenacity and passion, and also brought the history of the Grizzlies into a new chapter.
