Spurs Vanban Yama talks about recovery from worrying blood clots: Looking back, I m really lucky

Victor Vinbanyama did not feel frustrated and angry because the season ended with frustration and anger, but thought he was "lucky" because of his injury.

Victor Vinbanyama appears to have crossed the first major obstacle, recovering from the season-reimbursed injury. The San Antonio Spurs’ talented player looks at the first step with awe in the process of recovering from a blood clot in his right shoulder.

"Looking back, I'm really lucky," said the 7-foot-5 talented player.

"I feel it all depends on perspective. The amazing people here, they work great, and when I visited them in the hospital, they were all great, and they gave me a lot of attention. I feel like I got the best care I can get as a patient," added Vinban Yama.

The 2023 No. 1 pick season was forced to end early after the All-Star game due to a worrying injury. This is a fatal blow to the Spurs, which are fighting for the playoff spots and is especially difficult for Vinban Yama Yama.

He later changed his view.

"This happened. But all of us present, everyone in our league, are taking advantage of what we have. We use what we have. I am still one of the lucky 1% so I have nothing to complain about. It's just a small setback."

Victor Vinbanyama looks forward to the team

Victor Vinbanyama has the opportunity to watch the game on the court and take some team notes during his right shoulder recovery.

"I saw the energy the players showed on the court and the increasing dedication throughout the season," the Spurs scoring champion said as the season ended.

"I even felt at one point, 'I wish I could have played like this when I was on the team because I was willing to fight like them; do dirty work and work. They sacrificed for the team every game.'"

In the absence of Vinbanyama and De Aaron Fox (Fox missed the entire season with surgery in mid-March), the Spurs won three straight wins later that month and won two of the final three games of the season. He then mentioned the team's sixth man, Kelden Johnson, and Blake Wesley. Wesley was the first round pick in 2022 and has not made many appearances since then, but it only improved at critical moments.

"Of course, we always think of players like KJ or Blake, who are like machines, going all out, but the whole team feels this vitality."

The Spurs ended up with a record of 34-48, with 12 more games than Victor Vinbanyama's rookie season. His stats have also improved, with scoring, rebounding, playing time and blocking all hit career highs, and he still leads the NBA again despite not playing in the last two months of the season.

"I'm willing to prove that I'm ready, too," Vanban Yama continued, talking about the aforementioned "dirty work", "because I'm willing to do dirty work like they do every night."

The opponent may be afraid of Vanban Yama's attention to the details of the game he had not paid attention to before. Or in other words - this is completely opposite to what Wenban Yama feels now.
