Offensive versatile, Lakers signed forward Larevia 12 million in two years

Basketball

ESPN reporter Shams Charania reported that several sources revealed that the Lakers signed forward Jack Larevia with a two-year $12 million contract.

Larevia played for the Grizzlies and the Kings in the 2024-25 season. He played 47 games with the Grizzlies, averaging 7.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 0.9 steals per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of up to 44.4%. In February, Larevia was sent to the Kings, who averaged 19.3 minutes per game in 19 games to score 6.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists.

Larevia is 2.03 meters tall. He is the 19th overall pick in 2022. He is a substitute player with comprehensive offense and an unball forward. Larevia has shots, can cut empty space, can fight for offensive rebounds, and has a one-hand pass. But Larevia's finalization is not sufficient, and her free throw shooting percentage is not good. On the defensive end, Larevia's pace is slow and unable to stare at the ball holder. The advantage is that she has a good sense of defense and is good at stealing, but she is not competent for protecting the basket.
