On November 25, the NBA officially announced the Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week for Week 5 of the 2025-26 season (November 18-24). Thunder star Alexander and Cavaliers star Mitchell, who averaged 30+ per game, were selected for the award. Stars such as Doncic, Harden and Jokic were nominated.

He shot 81% and led the Cavaliers to a record of 3 wins and 1 loss - 37 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists against the Bucks, 21 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists against the Rockets, 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists against the Pacers, and 37 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists against the Clippers.
Mitchell won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season and the ninth time in his career. The Cavaliers officially posted a poster to congratulate him; so far this season, Mitchell has played in 16 games, averaging 30.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game.
