Jonas Valentinas confirms that he will play for the Denver Nuggets

Jonas Valentionas seems to have devoted himself to his 14th season NBA.

After initially making reservations about joining the Denver Nuggets, Varanthunas, who is 6-foot-11, said this week that he will play for the team.

Denver received him from the Sacramento Kings earlier this month, but the 33-year-old Lithuanian was more interested in playing overseas with Greek side Panasinaikos.

"Now that Denver has decided to keep me, I want to talk about my opinion on next season," Valenteus told BasketNews. "I was very excited about playing at the Panasinaikos in my hometown, but it would have to be postponed. I am fully committed to fulfilling my contract with the Nuggets and will do my best to win the championship."

Valantios is entering its second season of a three-year, $30.3 million contract.

Nuggets introduced Valentines as a substitute support for center Nikola Jokic. Jokic averaged 36.7 minutes last season, setting a career high, his eighth straight season averaged more than 30 minutes.

Valantues has played as a substitute in only 89 of his 937-game career, 60 of which were last season when he shared the season between the Washington Wizards (49 games) and the Kings (32 games). He averaged 10.4 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, while playing time per game was only a career-low 18.8 minutes.

Overall, during his time with the Toronto Raptors (2012-19), the Memphis Grizzlies (2019-21), the New Orleans Pelicans (2021-24), the Wizards and the Kings, Valentines averaged 13.1 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game. He shot 56% from the field.
