Green calls Dillon s handshake with the Warriors after losing his tiebreak is a "coward behavior": many players disrespect him

Basketball

May 7th, two days after the Warriors defeated the Rockets in the first round of the playoffs and ended their season, Draymond Green paid tribute to the Rockets on his latest podcast, calling the seven-game battle "one of the toughest series I've ever played," but also ridiculed Dillon Brooks.

Green pointed out that Brooks did not shake hands with his opponent as usual after losing to the seventh game of the series, but instead left the court directly, which was a sign of "not affordable to lose".

Green said: "If you want to be the guy who likes to make trouble, wear sunglasses, speak loudly at the press conference, and play the role of the 'Big Bad Wolf', then you have to face the reality bravely if you lose, and don't be the kind of person who can't afford to lose, because at that moment you will lose the respect of many people."

Green mentioned that Rockets forward Tari Ethan also left the court without shaking hands with any of the Warriors players after the game. He also said he stopped Ethan before leaving the Toyota Center because he "appreciated the player". Green said his meaning to Ethan was: follow the real leader in Houston, not learn from Brooks.

"I waved at him, quivered him, and said to him, 'You're a little helpless, but don't become that kind of person, brother,'" Green said, "Just don't become Brooks, that kind of person. We all know Brooks is a coward (*sucker*). But Tari Ethan, you're not."

"Tari Ethan, I still have a lot of respect. He is a young man, but I want to tell young men not to learn that kind of clown."

Green said that he was completely unacceptable to Brooks' behavior, adding that he didn't respect Brooks much either. He also claimed that many players in the league disrespect Brooks.

"When players in the league don't respect you, that's all, and it will sooner or later backfire you," Green said. "The reason why Brooks can't play this series is largely because no one respects him. So everything you do, the way you play, the way others view it, can't help your team win the championship."
