ESPN expert: The teams I have talked to don t think the Clippers will suffer any major punishment

ESPN labor and capital agreement expert Bobby Marks talked about the Leonard Yin-Yang contract incident on the NBA Today program, and he revealed the opinions expressed to him by various NBA teams.

Max said: "Fans should understand that it will be a long wait. I think they should realize that they should not draw conclusions. What is the solid evidence?"

"I know that indirect evidence can be used in the labor agreement, but if the league does, I think it will cause a lot of trouble because I think you can find a lot of teams that may also violate the salary cap regulations because of indirect evidence, just like the Clippers mentioned here."

Previously, people were generally expected to be punished in some form, but Max didn't think so.

"This is just the result of my conversations with teams. No teams I have spoken to think there will be any punishment, or there will be no significant punishment, because they realize the seriousness of evading the salary cap. If anything changes, will we see a new rule that gives the league more knowledge about the player contracts in the team-related sponsorship agreements?" Max said.
